JOHANNESBURG — Julius Malema says the law should be stricter on alcohol than on dagga.
He says he supports the campaign to legalise marijuana in the country.
The Economic Freedom Fighters leader was speaking on the side lines of the party’s national list conference in Midrand.
He was asked if he supports the legalisation of dagga.
“We have no problem with marijuana being legalised. It must be legalised. It must be dealt with professionally so that it is not abused or used for wrong purposes,” said Malema.
He told the press conference about his experience with dagga, saying he tried it only once and went straight home after that.
