Mbalula gives these KZN residents a promise for next week
MPOLWENI — ANC secretary-general Fikile Mbalula has promised mobile classrooms for a school in Mpolweni, KwaZulu-Natal, next week, while outlining commitments on housing, roads and electricity during a campaign visit. The classroom pledge provides a specific timeframe against which residents can assess delivery.
Classrooms and electricity
Mbalula said he would visit the school and speak to the community. The remarks published by eNCA did not identify the school, explain its condition or specify how many mobile classrooms would arrive.
He also said a transformer had been brought in and that discussions with Eskom would seek to extend electricity provision to the rest of the community. He gave no completion date for that intervention.
Outstanding service commitments
Housing and roads were receiving attention, Mbalula said, adding that the mayor accompanying him had briefed him on outstanding work. He thanked residents for their continued support of the ANC.
The published remarks contained no project budgets or detailed implementation schedules. For residents, the nearest test is whether the promised classrooms arrive next week, followed by clearer timelines for the remaining service commitments.
