LIMPOPO – The Department of Basic Education confirmed that a Grade 12 mathematics examination paper has been leaked to some students in Giyani, Limpopo on Tuesday.
Department spokesperson, Elijah Mhlanga, said pupils at schools in the Mopani district had access to the second maths paper before it was written.
The department announced that all the scripts of the schools in the area would be quarantined to establish whether any patterns exist.
Mahlanga confirmed that the Hawks and police have been called in to investigate the matter.
Two life sciences exam papers were leaked in Limpopo in 2015 resulting in thousands of students having to rewrite the exam.
