JOHANNESBURG – Warona Mark Zinde was to be taken to an institution for help before the death of his mother, Hope Zinde.
This is part of his grandmother’s affidavit which was presented to the Brits Magistrate’s Court on Friday.
In it she pleaded with the court that Warona be taken for psychiatric evaluation.
The affidavit said Warona had been showing signs of aggression, and would lock himself in his room prior to his mother’s death.
The prosecution did not oppose the application for the accused to undergo mental evaluation.
Zinde has been charged with murder and the possession of illegal drugs.
The case has been postponed to 18 July 2016.
