JOHANNESBURG – Two people were killed after a light aircraft crashed on Monday afternoon on its way from Lanseria International Airport.
The aircraft came down next to the R512, on the way to Hartbeespoort.
Netcare911 Spokesperson, Chris Botha confirmed that emergency services found two people from the plane who were both dead on the scene.
Station Commander Bongi Hlongwane also confirmed that the crash resulted in two people found dead.
“The plane is completely burnt with emergency services on the scene continuing the search for more people. The cause of the crash is still yet to be determined,” said Hlongwane.
