KwaZulu-Natal floods death toll rises to 70

Seventy people are confirmed to have been killed in this week’s floods in KwaZulu-Natal.

The updated figure has been confirmed by acting KwaZulu-Natal premier Sihle Zikalala in Durban.

Over 1 000 people have since been displaced.

Zikalala has confirmed that local government is investigating the concern over aging infrastructure within municipalities.
