JOHANNESBURG – Kwaito musician Sipho Ndlovu, better known as Brickz, was found guilty of rape by the Roodepoort Magistrate’s Court on Friday afternoon.
Judgment was finally handed down after a three-year court case.
Ndlovu will remain in custody until sentencing on July 20.
Brickz’s R50 000 bail was immediately revoked and was led down to the holding cells as he will remain in custody until his sentencing later this month.
The musician was arrested in November 2013 for allegedly raping a 17-year-old relative.
After spending a month behind bars, he was released on R50 000 bail after taking his application to the Johannesburg High Court.
Sentencing is expected to take place next week.
Brickz is known for such hits as “Sweety my Baby” and “Tofolux.”
