JOHANNESBURG – Gugu Zulu’s parents have called on young South Africans to continue his legacy by giving back.
The racing driver died while trying to climb Mount Kilimanjaro.
His death shocked family, friends and his many fans.
The 38-year-old is survived by his wife and their young daughter.
Zulu will be laid to rest on Thursday.
His father has spoken about the lessons young people should take from the life his son led.
“Gugu has shown the world that to be calm and to share with others is something we need in society,” said Peter Zulu.
“He has done that and demonstrated that that’s the way the youth can also take up from there.”
