Four people have been killed and 13 others seriously injured in a major crash on the N3 highway, near Spruitview south-east of Johannesburg. At this stage, it’s still unclear what caused the crash.
Law enforcement agencies are on the scene to investigate.
Ekurhuleni emergency services spokesperson William Ntladi says the N3-north in completely closed to traffic.
He says, “We have a massive accident on the N3 north just by Spruitview where two vehicles have been involved in a crash resulting in four males being killed instantly. 13 passengers including the drivers of the two vehicles have been transported to various hospitals for medical care.”
