Economic Freedom Fighters(EFF) leader Julius Malema says the party has set its eyes on governing the Gauteng province come May 8 elections.
Malema was speaking at the sidelines of the EFF’s engagement with the elderly in Boksburg, east of Johannesburg.
The EFF emerged as kingmakers during the 2016 local government elections in Tshwane and Johannesburg and entered into a partnership with the DA.
Malema says this time around the party has set out demands before they go into coalitions with other parties.
He says: “There will be a set off of demands. As scientific people, we know that research shows that there will be a possibility of a coalition if you have got a vision you ought to prepare for it now.”
“You have to think about what type of coalition do you want, what are the demands you will put forward. Positions are going to be the last demand which we are going to put before any potential partners.”
