Confirmed: Amapiano Killer Kau & Mpura have passed away.

Amapiano Sensational Disc Jockey Mpura and artist Killer Kau were confirmed to be dead by Dudu Ngwenya and Friends.

The news of the death of 23 years old, Sakhile Hlatshwayo known as Killer Kau, and 30-year-old Mpurapudi Mathosi known as Mpura Mpura was tweeted on social media by Dudu Ngwenya, better known as Lady Du.

Townpress reporters made efforts to reach the manager of the DJs for confirmation but were unable to reach any of them for comments regarding the incidence and the state of the health of both of the celebrities. We were only able to get actual confirmation from the father of the driver of the vehicle. Dj Thando tot and khaya “the Voice” Hadebe (Dj /photographer), TD (Road manager) were also in the car that crashed.

Mpura came up recently during the rise and takeover of the Amapiano genre, having been part of great collabos that gave Mzansi hits such as Umsebenzi Wethu. Mpura also made airwaves through his famous bedtime stories that trended on Twitter. 

Rapper Riky Rick took to his Instagram to bid farewell to Mpura, saying: “Rest In Peace our Mpura. You were the happiest person in every room, your spirit was what we needed in our lives, selfless, humble, and loving. Love you so much, my brother. Thank you for everything you did while you were still here. Gonna miss you so much, bro. I’m sorry, your journey had to end like this. Condolences to the family and the friends, we loved you so much, bro. Lala Kahle.”

Killer Kau, made the limelight through the samplings of famous songs, which got the attention of Euphonik. When Tholukuthi Hey became a viral hit, Killer Kau became one of the most seen faces on  TV and his deep voice was one of the most heard on the radio.
