JOHANNESBURG – Controversial artist Ayanda Mabulu is at it again.
His latest painting has received mainly negative comments on social media.
It depicts an image of President Jacob Zuma licking Atul Gupta’s behind.
Four years ago his painting ‘the spear’ triggered a defamation lawsuit by the ANC, the piece was defaced on 22 May 2012.
It depicts President Zuma in a pose reminiscent of John Lenin, but his genitals are exposed.
Mabulu’s latest painting, has been trending on social media since Tuesday. While there have been comical reactions, many twitter users say the picture is distasteful, and disrespectful.Many have described Mabulu as an attention seeker.But others say they understand that he is just exercising his n freedom of expression.
