Pretoria – A second suspect, who was allegedly involved in the random shooting in the northern areas of Port Elizabeth on Sunday evening, has been arrested.
The 26-year-old was arrested at his home in Helenvale on Thursday morning, Hawks spokesperson Brigadier Hangwani Mulaudzi said.
He will appear in the Gelvandale Magistrate’s Court on Monday.
On Sunday, four people were killed, one seriously injured, in what was believed to be gang-related violence in the area.
Meanwhile, Randell Calviet (27) was remanded in custody when he appeared in the same court on Thursday. His case was postponed to Monday to allow for his alleged accomplice to appear before court.
