DURBAN – The student registration council of the Durban University of Technology wants the institution to assist all students, irrespective of their financial status. No registration and financial aid, no lectures.
That’s the decision of the Durban University of Technology SRC who argue that there will be no lectures until all students have been registered and properly housed.
Several students have lost their NSFAS funding and accuse the scheme of poor communication.
The SRC remains resolute in its decision that lectures will only start once all students have been attended to.
The university has stressed that struggling students should follow procedure and look for help from relevant institutions for their housing and financial needs.
