Before you send a tip

• We confirm your email first. We send a link to the email address you type, and you open it before you can write your tip. This is so we can reach you if we need to check something about your tip.
• Your real name or an alias. You may send your tip with your real name, or anonymously with an alias (any name you choose). Either way your email is seen only by our newsroom.
• Your choice to be contacted. Tell us whether you want a journalist to contact you back, and how.
• Your privacy. We do not publish your name, alias, email or phone number without your permission, and we do not keep your internet address with your tip. Photos and documents you add are seen by our newsroom only.
