Dutch airline KLM has announced the cancellation of all flights to Dubai until March 28, citing safety concerns amid ongoing unrest in the Middle East. The company emphasised that the safety of passengers and crew remains its top priority.
KLM is working closely with the Dutch foreign ministry to assist citizens affected by the disruption. The airline acknowledged the impact on travellers and said it is taking steps to keep passengers informed throughout the suspension period.
Other European carriers have also adjusted operations due to the conflict. German airline Lufthansa has extended its flight suspensions to key airports in the region, including Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Dammam, Amman, Erbil, Beirut, Tel Aviv, and Tehran, with suspension dates ranging from March 15 to April 30 depending on the destination.
French airline Air France has also delayed its services to and from Tel Aviv and Beirut until March 13, while flights to Dubai and Riyadh are suspended until March 12.
The ongoing geopolitical tensions continue to disrupt air travel across the Middle East, forcing airlines to prioritise safety while managing operational challenges.
