Limpopo police have arrested two suspects, aged 30 and 25, for possession and distribution of drugs, including nyaope, crystal meth, and rock cocaine, near the University of Limpopo’s Gate 2 on Sunday.

According to provincial police spokesperson Colonel Malesela Ledwaba, the arrests followed an intelligence-driven operation. Authorities received information about a suspect selling drugs to students near the university’s entrance, leading to a targeted investigation.

“Leads were thoroughly followed, which led to the arrest of the suspects at separate locations,” Ledwaba said.

During the operation, police found the 30-year-old suspect in possession of 50 sachets of drugs, while the 25-year-old suspect was caught with 550 sachets of nyaope, 30 sachets of crystal meth, and 35 pieces of rock cocaine. The total estimated value of the confiscated drugs was R31,250.
