South African coach Pitso Mosimane is reportedly not in contention for the vacant managerial role at Raja Casablanca following the departure of Bosnian coach Rusmir Cviko.
Cviko was dismissed after just 64 days, during which he led the team in six matches.
Despite securing Raja’s qualification for the CAF Champions League group stage, his two defeats in five league games contributed to his exit.
Speculation linking Mosimane, the former Al Ahly and Bafana Bafana coach, to the position surfaced but appears to be unfounded.
Reports indicate that Raja Casablanca has not entered talks with Mosimane. Club president Adel Hala is expected to announce a new head coach by the end of the week, aiming to finalise the deal during the international break.
Mosimane has been without a coaching job since leaving Saudi club Abha last season after failing to secure their survival in the Saudi Pro League.
Prior to that, he led Saudi side Al Ahli to a second division title and briefly managed Emirati club Al-Wehda for 10 matches until November 2023.
