21 children have been injured this morning after their minibus rolled on Mare Road in Roodepoort.
ER24 paramedics, along with other services arrived on the scene and found the minibus on the side of the road. Most of the occupants were found outside of the vehicle.
On inspection, paramedics found that 21 children had been injured after their vehicle rolled and crashed through a fence.
Paramedics assessed the children, believed to be aged between 6 and 12, and found that they had sustained injuries ranging from minor to moderate. Fortunately, no serious injuries were reported on the scene.
Paramedics treated the patients and thereafter transported them to various hospitals in the area, including Laratong and Helen Joseph Hospital.
The exact cause of the collision is not yet known but local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
