The State Capture Commission will hear evidence on Tuesday relating to Ministerial appointments from Mr. Des Van Rooyen, former Minister of Finance.
Former Director General at National Treasury Lungile Fuzile will also be cross-examined by Van Rooyen.
In his testimony to the Commission in November 2018, Fuzile alleged Van Rooyen called him to a meeting following his appointment in December 2015, during which he was asked to appoint Gupta-linked advisors Ian Whitley and Mohamed Bobat. This despite Van Rooyen clearly being unsure about what they would actually do.
Last week, the Commission continued to hear evidence relating to the 2014 Free State asbestos project.
