JOHANNESBURG – Monday is the final day for former Social Development Minister Bathabile Dlamini to respond to Judge Bernard Ngoepe’s damning report against her.
In the report, submitted on 4 April, Ngoepe was highly critical of Dlamini’s testimony, saying she had evaded some questions and avoided answering others.
She had answered some questions with other questions, the judge said.
His report forms part of the Constitutional Court inquiry into whether Dlamini should be held personally liable for the South African Social Security Agency (Sassa) grants debacle.
In 2017, Sassa failed to meet a court deadline regarding social grant payments.
