Limpopo police make major breakthrough during clean-up operations

This on-going efforts to fight crime head-on throughout the Province, in the form of clean-up joint operations composed of various Police units, continue to yield positive results.

In Mankweng outside Polokwane, five (05) highly dangerous criminals, aged between 21 and 31 years, who were terrorising members of the community in and around the Mankweng area, were arrested and the following were recovered:

  • Cash money
  • Airtimes
  • Cigarettes
  • Opel Corsa.

These suspects are connected to more than 10 cases of carjacking and armed robberies. They will appear before Mankweng Magistrate Court soon.

Meanwhile a total of 164 suspects, aged between 19 and 52 years, were arrested for various offences ranging from burglary, armed robbery, possession of dagga to possession of suspected stolen property during this operation, which was up and running until this morning.

Intelligence Driven Joint Operation is conducted in various areas such as Mankweng Dennilton, Mecklenburg ,Lephalale, Lestitele ,Makhado, Vuwani, Mokopane, Seshego, Tzaneen, Giyani, Thohoyandou and Burgersfort.

The suspects will appear before various Magistrate Courts soon.
