Two men were left critically injured this morning after a shooting at the corners of Jean and Gerhard Road intersection in Centurion CBD.
ER24 paramedics, along with another service, arrived on the scene and found an SUV parked in the middle of the intersection, surrounded by numerous law enforcement vehicles.
Two men were found lying next to the SUV.
Paramedics assessed the patients and found that both men had sustained several gunshot wounds and both were in a critical condition.
The patients were treated for their injuries and provided with advanced life support interventions. Once treated, the two men were transported, under local authority supervision, to Kalafong Provincial Hospital for further care.
It is believed that two other men had been detailed by the local authorities. Both men had escaped injury.
It is understood that the shootout occurred after the four men had been perused by the local authorities.
