KwaZulu-Natal – A 42-year-old man was left critically injured this morning when his vehicle rolled 300 metres down an embankment off the N3 Highway, between Tweedie and Lions River, KwaZulu-Natal.
When ER24 paramedics, along with SAPS Search and Rescue, arrived on the scene, they found a light motor vehicle lying on its roof at the bottom of an embankment, approximately 300 metres away from the road.
Upon closer inspection, paramedics found the man lying outside his vehicle.
ER24 paramedics immediately assessed the man and found him in a serious condition, having sustained numerous injuries.
Paramedics treated the man and provided him with advanced life support interventions before he was transported to Life Hilton Hospital for further treatment.
The exact cause of the collision is not yet known but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
