A 37-year-old man accused of the kidnapping, robbery, and murder of his girlfriend is expected to apply for bail on Wednesday morning at the Brits Magistrate’s Court in the North West.
Tebogo Setlhare, from Mmakau village, was arrested for allegedly killing his girlfriend, Kgaugelo Tshwae last week.
Her burnt body was found inside her vehicle in the bushes in Mapetla Section, in Mmakau.
Police say Tshwae failed to return home last week Sunday after work at Hartebeespoort Dam with friends.
Tshwae’s mother got a call to say that her daughter’s body was found in Mmakau when she went to report a missing person at Garankuwa police station.
Setlhare’s arrest came after the victim’s bank card was found in his possession.
