The African National Congress (ANC) in the Eastern Cape will on Saturday launch its provincial leg of the Thuma Mina campaign at Winterrose Stadium in Mdantsane Township outside East London.
This follows the national campaign that party President Cyril Ramaphosa launched over a week ago in Ekurhuleni.
The campaign will include the celebration of the life and times of former president Nelson Mandela and ANC veteran Albertina Sisulu.
Both would have turned 100 years this year.
The provincial Election Team Co-ordinator Zandisile Quphe says, “The program for the day will be starting with service delivery that will be focusing on three areas. The first area will be the handing over of the formal toilets to the Duncan Village community which will be followed by the switching on of the power station that will be providing electricity to communities that have not been having electricity in the Mdantsane area.”
