Most of the workers of the chain store around the country are complaining about their poor remuneration as compared to the numbers of hours they put into their work. One of the branch manager in Centurion believes the strike would not hold as business is at its highest peak and it could affect sales plan for the festives.
About 30,000 workers will down tools during the strike, Mike Tau an official of the South African Commercial, Catering and Allied Workers Union said. Tau said a full-blown strike would follow if the company failed to change the working conditions.
