Pretoria – The Presidency says it has not yet received the report into the position of National Police Commissioner General Riah Phiyega.
In a statement it said it will therefore not comment on the alleged contents of the report which was released by a weekend newspaper.
“The Presidency has no knowledge of the report referred to in the media reports. The Presidency will inform the public as soon as the report is received by President [Jacob] Zuma.”
Sunday newspaper City Press claimed in an article at the weekend that a board of inquiry into the suspended Commissioner’s fitness to hold office had found her unfit and that she should be dismissed.
