OHANNESBURG – The SA Human Rights Commission will release the findings of its investigation into Zulu King Goodwill Zwelithini on Friday.
The commission was asked to look into comments he made during last year’s xenophobic attacks.
The king reportedly told a crowd in Pongola, KwaZulu-Natal that all foreign nationals must leave the country.
The comments sparked outrage with some accusing the monarch of fuelling the violent attacks on foreign nationals.
But the Zulu king insisted he was quoted out of context.
He was later cleared by a task team probing the cause of the outbreak of the attacks.
