JOHANNESBURG – Caster Semenya easily won her 800 metres heat on Wednesday at the 2016 Rio Olympics to qualify for the semi-finals.
Semenya clocked a time of 1:59.31 to book her place in the semi-finals, which will take place on Friday morning, South African time.
The South African is a firm favourite for a gold medal.
There’s already been a huge focus on Semenya in the past week amid allegations that she has an unfair advantage.
She reportedly has naturally high levels of testosterone.
