NQUTHU – The KwaZulu-Natal Education department has dismissed teachers who were found guilty of sexually assaulting pupils.
The MEC Appeals Committee has presided over and adjudicated 12 cases of both sexual relationship and sexual assault since June 2016.

All appeals have been recommended for dismissal from the education system.
Meanwhile, the case against a high school teacher accused of sexually abusing several under-age girls in Nquthu in the province, has been postponed to next week.
The 45-year-old suspect appeared in court on Monday.
