Pretoria – In a series of tweets, local celebrity Bonang Matheba announced her resignation from Metro FM. The star was paired with Lerato Kganyago to present her radio show on Metro FM as part of the station’s new lineup. Bonang’s resignation comes just hours after the SABC confirmed the duo would be hosting The Front Row.
Bonang said the following in her tweets “After 3 years of making magic on the Front Row, I can confirm that I have officially stepped down as the host of the show. I will miss my Metro FM family dearly, as they say all good things do come to an end….Looking forward to the next chapter of my radio life.”

Metro FM has announced several new changes to the station, with DJ Fresh presenting the breakfast show with Somizi.
Metro FM also announced that Kganyago, commonly known as ‘LKG’, will be joining Bonang on her popular radio show, The Front Row, following Unathi Msengana and Glen Lewis’s departure.
Glen Lewis left to join Touch HD, former Metro DJ Tbo Touch’s new online radio station. Unathi has yet to announce where she will be heading.
Former Power FM presenter Masechaba Ndlovu has also joined Metro FM.
